Emprex ME1 Support Forum

Hi,
I have setup my ME1 and have upgraded it to the latest firmware. It works well with USB stick and over the network.
The only problem I'm facing is that I am unable to access the hard drive(250Gb) in the ME1 through my PC. I connect the USB cable to my PC When I am at the home screen of ME1. It goes into sleep mode (orange LED) which I think it should! but then it does not show up on my PC as an external drive. The weird thing is that my PC does identify it as a mass storage device which I can find in the task bar and allows me to safely remove the mass storage device but I cannot see it as an external drive in explorer.
Am I missing something here?
Did anyone face a similar issue before?

It should show up, however, if you keep the button on the front pressed (up to 20 seconds) whilst connected via USB cable, it should then show up.

It could be your PC - in terms of drivers etc. - Can you try it with a different PC/Laptop ?

Thanks for your response. I tried both options provided by you guys but it just not respond. I have tried it on both Windows and Linux machines. In windows I get a mass storage device found in the task bar but the explorer does not identify it as a disk.

This may be a stupid question, but have you formatted it since you changed the firmware? If there isn't any FAT32 or NTFS partition then Explorer may not be able to see it as a disk.
